Using the TP volume buttons to control a USB sound device.

#1 Post by tabithaboof » Sat Sep 30, 2006 7:50 am

I just bought a combined USB hub/Audio device which has a a handy switch for my headphones/speakers.

Is there any way I can use the volume buttons (vol up, vol down and mute) on my TP, its an R50e running XP sp1, to control the USB audio device the same way I can with the TPs built in headphone out?

Thanks alot guys

I use USB M-Audio Transit. The hardware volume buttons seem to be hard wired with the internal soundcard only.
