600x VGA card memory
600x VGA card memory
Is it possible to expand VGA card memory of my TP 600x ?
No. The video card on the 600X is not upgradeable.
There may be video cards that can be used in one of your PCMCIA card slots, but I've only ever seen the "Margi-to-Go" cards that simply provide DVD acceleration and outputs -- something that the 600X does not really need. There may be some other obscure PCMCIA/CardBus cards that provide 3d acceleration, but I haven't seen them in action, and I doubt there are any that can fully replace your built-in video card.
An alternative option is to get a SelectaDock III docking station and insert a PCI video card in it. For more information about this, and to view an earlier discussion on this topic, check out Direct 3D Acceleration on 600X.
