Hi there,
I have a R40 which is quite a nice laptop and works very well with linux (Suse 9.3). The only thing that doesn't work is the graphics card 3d accelerator. There are a couple of progs I would like to use it but there are is no support.
Has anybody managed to get it work under linux?
Thanks,
Dominik
7500 driver for R40
the mobility radeon 7500 is supported by the 'radeon' dri driver. http://dri.freedesktop.org/wiki/ATIRadeon
Basically try changing "ati" driver in your xorg.conf to "radeon", remember to have Load "radeon" under options.
