FS: T Series Accesories (Batteries, Chargers, Dock, Cables)

#1 Post by jmch75 » Tue Oct 03, 2006 2:59 am

All items are authentic IBM accessories. They are gently used, and were purchased brand new. They are not remanufacturered, reconditioned, re-anything. My T41 started acting up recently, and eventually it went to a happy place in the sky.

I will wait for another iteration of the T60's before I consider a new one. In the meantime, I have my accessories still left over, which I will offer here.

Please mail me, as I have photos of each and every part and component. I like to disclose everything up front, so there are no miscommunications and surprises for both parties.

Quantity: 2 Gently Used.
Lithium-Ion Battery.
I'm not sure if it's a Panasonic made, or Sanyo made, or any other details. I have photos, and part numbers. Please feel free to inquire. They both hold a good charge (guaranteed not DOA or some 30 minute deal). They are about 1.5 years old. There are some cosmetic blemishes on the battery, but it's on the bottom, so you really can't see it, unless you look for it.

10.8V 4.4AH

FRU P/N: 08K8193
ASM P/N: 08K8192

Asking Price: $40 Shipped Each, or $75 Shipped for Both.

FRU P/N: 08K8205

Asking Price: $12.50 Shipped Each. All 3 for $35.00 Shipped.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Original Packaging, and never removed/opened. A few spares left over from a previous project.

4 pin (M) to 4 pin (M)

Asking Price: $12.00 Shipped for All 3.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PLEASE keep in mind these are all asking prices. I would like to get rid of these to be used for my T6x fund, so if you feel something is a little un-reasonable, please tell me what you think is fair. First come, first serve though.

Regards,
John

John, do you happen to know whether the battery (the brand new one you have) is fully compatable with T43 ?
If yes, can you please check it up whether it is affected by the recall ?

I would take it (I gues uit is regular 6-cell, right ?) if it is compatable with my T43 and isn't part of Lenovo's recall...

Let me know
14.1" T43 2668-6ZU machine.
ATI x300, 1GB RAM, 40 GB HDD, all the connectivity (except of Bluetooth), DVD/CD-WR Combo...
Still excited about this great machine...

Mind if I ask what happened to the T41? (ie. sold, trashed, etc.)

Hello All:

thanks for the numerous replies and interest.

I will address them in order of receipt as soon as i can.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
alexzabr: I do believe that the (brand new) battery will be 100% compatible with the T43.

FRU P/N: 92P1075
ASM P/N: 92P1074

and according to the information I saw on this website, (this part number) is clearly NOT affected by the recall (exploding battery feature). You may feel free to search for this information yourself to ensure you are getting the real goods.

Also, as mentioned to antoher international (potential buyer), I apologize and neglected to consider the global nature of this website. Hence, my costs of shipping to international locations will more than likely be higher. It is not my objective to profit from this additional expense, but to merely pass on the direct costs, so that I don't loose too much in the transaction. My primary objective is to share with the community, but not at the expense of a huge loss. I hope you can understand.

Additionally, I wish to completely share all information up front, so if you provide an email address, I would be more than willing to send an actual digital photo of the product in question to completely satisfy concerns or curiousity. Last time I checked, email was free, so it doesn't cost my anything. This way, it greatly reduces any miscommunications, misunderstandings, confusions, and any other mad words that start with "mis-xxxx".

Although I am very confident on the compatibility, I leave the onus up to the buyer to do due dilligence and research appropriately. I never own a T43, so cannot expressly guarantee it, however, I do feel it is very highly likely that it WILL be compatible, since I have personally used similar batteries on my T41, which is very similar in the battery area.

Additionally, I will try to accomodate any buyer requests for funding. I do happen to have a nasty online poker habit, which I occasionally play for real money at the 0.01 USD tables, and if you must, I believe you can fund this account using a credit card. This would be an acceptable form of payment as well (within reason).

I hope I can put to rest any concerns you may have. Please feel free to reply with any additional questions I can address.

Regards

tfflivemb2 - Once the T41 started to disagree with the way I thought things should be run, I took it to a doctor that specailizes in laptops. After a thorough examination and some antibiotics in the form of anti-viruses and such, it was deemed "lost its marbles and off to the psych ward". Hence, we agreed to proceed with surgical intervention through a hard drive donor/transplant. It was a rather quick procedure, but alas, had booting issues and error codes. We re-imaged the original harddrive offline, and re-installed it in the T41, but it didn't want to accept the transfusion, and rejected the blood type, and left the machine completely inoperable. I later found another person, who offered me a fair price for the machine as is, and I hope it has a good life somewhere else. As far as i'm concerned, it's off to a happy place in the sky that has pearly gates and a big honkin sign that says "IBM/Lenovo T Series".

Regards.

Thanks John.
I just checked the FRU on mine 6-cell battery (that came originally with my T43 as ought brand new) - its has somewhat different FRU (the last 3 digits are different), don't know whether it means the batter isn't compatible with T43. I'll try to inquire elsewhere (probably even here in the forums).
I don't know what global nature of the community are you talking about and see no reason for you to apologize for not accepting that.
Of course, international shipment is more expensive then in-country, this is obvious. I did numerous international deals in my history - I'm familiar with the rules and common sense.
I'll try to get confirmed your battery will fit my T43 properly and if it will - I'll take it (if it will not be sold prior to that).

I know it's been a little bit. Are the batteries all sold? Thanks.
