Wireless Mouse Not worked

#1 Post by sarada » Mon Oct 09, 2006 10:21 pm

Hi All

I have Thinkpad-T60, since last 3 month I'm using wireless mouse in USB port. Now it won't work. I checked in track point and pad in configuration, both are in Automatic. And mouse, stick and USB port also good condition. It may conflict with Track point or Pad, but I couldn't find any solution in troubleshooting. Is anyone can help me?

First make sure you have good batteries in the mouse.

If this is a mouse that uses a USB receiver, try moving it to a different USB port. If that doesn't help, you may have to re-associate the mouse with the receiver. First press the button on the receiver (you should see a flashing light. Next, press the button on the bottom of the mouse. The flashing light should stop, and your mouse should work.

If this is a true Bluetooth mouse (one that works with the Thinkpad's built-in Bluetooth), then you may have to delete the mouse from the Bluetooth profile and go through the discovery process again.
Apathy is on the rise, but nobody seems to care.

Thanks for the suggestion.

But this wireless mouse is work nicely with same USB sub port to other Desktop PC and Laptop.
In my ThinkPad it worked continue since last 3 month just 1 week before it’s stopped. It seems mouse, battery; receiver and USB sub port all are perfect. And my ThinkPad have 2 USB port, receives other flash disk data.

According to my office IT guy, it may conflict inside configuration. So far my understanding ThinkPad supplier didn't give me BT compatible mouse; this is an accer mouse with IBM PC compatible receiver.

One more idea pls.

I know this is a bit late of a response.

I am happy so far after 3 weeks with new
Kensington PocketMouse™ Wireless Mini #72214
Only $22 on Newegg.com

Kensington drivers are not needed.
Shut the mouse off when not in use and battery life is decent.
The mouse is responsive, and if for some reason it disconnects, go through the reset process and you are back in business.

One tip, if you have a heavy handed approach to using your mouse, and your hand is a normal or large man size hand, you will have to adjust how you handle the mouse to a light touch and release the mouse often, or you might get cramping.

FWIW, i find the Logitech Bluetooth Wireless MX5000 Mouse & Keyboard to be rock solid, reliable, easy to setup, fantastic.

I paid another $100.00 to get a second MX5000 to keep a second MX5000 Bluetooth mouse in my computer bag.
