MS Intellipoint (mouse) software breaks trackpoint scroll

Is there anyway to fix this bug where the trackpint scroll (the middle button with the trackpoint) no longer works?

Did you ever find a solution to this? I want to be able to use my Bluetooth Microsoft Mouse's extra buttons and sideways scrolling, but at the same time be able to use the Trackpoint scrolling most of the time.
