My intention wasn't to crap on your thread, but you need to be realistic, especially on a site full of enthusiasts. I think you would be heckled even if you dropped the price 30%.

Ohn, interesting. I regret that I sold my t41 for only $500. It has 8 months of warranty on it. I think it is at least better than this T30. 8)

Awesome!

Did you stuff a few hundred dollar bills in the PC Card slot? Maybe in a StashCard? http://www.stashcard.com/

You can ask what you want, but most members are savvy buyers and are trying to be helpful. The right price is about 1/2 what you are asking.

You might want to see what IBM is selling them for, too.

Ok guys, play nice. I'm sure that the OP wasn't aware of the going price here in the forum for a T30. Local prices could be significantly higher where he/she is.

To the OP, given the price that you are looking at getting, you might want to try eBay or a local version of Craigslist.org

Im afraid he knows exactly what he is doing. This isnt the first time he has posted for this t30 at that price. If he gets 760 for his I should get the 400 for the one in my signature! Throw me a bone here!!!!

Or perhaps s/he didn't convert the currencies properly. Use this site:

This thread is getting very funny...760 pesos is 69 bucks. That would yield some offers!

I hope benottomex finds this at least somewhat humorous. Some of these threads crack me up...

Its almost brings inspiration to me to redo my post about selling my T30. Im asking 400 or offers and I think i have had maybe 3 offers for less than that. Maybe I should up it to about 500 and people ought to be all over it at that price. Maybe they think 400 is too good to be true so they are afraid to buy it at 400?

400$ is high. Maybe if you had a gig of RAM, a 60GB HDD, and a DVD burner, 400$ might sell.

Get with the picture, dude! Remember, the P4M performs about 60% as well as a single-core Pentium M at 1.6ghz. A dual-core 1.66ghz Pentium M (Core Duo) leaves it in the dust.

Man, this thread is hilarious. It reminds me the 2001 Roast of Hugh Hefner by Friars Club.

OK guys, keep on laughing.
In the country where I live in, this price is very reasonable, considering a lot of people use crappy Compaq's/Dell's. I already announced it on a eBay-style site. Mexican of course, but is hard to sell. Remember Mexico is a 3rd-class country, whereas you guys live in US or Canada, or somewhere else around the globe.

I could remove the post if you think is useless, but I see some of you have find it hilarious.

That machine (T30) when I first purchased it costed me about 2100USD with only 256MB of RAM. IBM Mexico doesn't sell beefed-up T43/T60 laptops nowadays :?

Well whatever country you live in, depreciation is a fact of life.

Very true. I bought my first laptop, the Dell Inspiron 8200, for $1,759 in Aug 2002, but could get only $423 only when I sold it in Feb 2006. The best way to minimize losses due to depreciation is to buy used, e.g. get a $300 T23, in a year it'll be worth $200 and so you lose only $100. Second best way is to look for deeply discounted new units, such as waiting for Lenovo's anniversary sales or other retail stores' Black Friday sales, or get it through someone who works at Lenovo.
