tun off screen?

#1 Post by laundromatt » Sat Oct 14, 2006 6:21 pm

i did a search, and i checked the FAQ, but i didn't see anything, so here goes...

how do you turn off the screen manually, instead of having to wait for the power manager to do it?

thanks.

Fn+F3 should do it. :)

You can make it a quick link so that when you press the ThinkVantage button, Power Off Display is on the list that shows up.

From the help:

Screen blank. The computer display requires considerable battery power. To turn off power to the computer display, do as follows:

Press the ThinkVantage(TM) button. ThinkVantage Productivity Center opens.

Click Customize. Productivity Center Customization Utility opens.

Select the checkbox for Power off display on the Quick Links tab page.

Well, I never knew that myself, so I was glad to research it! I was sure I had read something about a function key combo that did it, but if there is, I never found it.

Yeah, there are Fn Combos that aren't well documented for the T4X series and even they take some obscure snooping around to get as well. :)
