Has anyone received his/her new battery for the recall?

#1 Post by newbie1983 » Sat Oct 14, 2006 10:57 pm

Hi, I am told it takes 4-6 weeks but just wondering if it's gonna take so long. Anyone who has gotten it is welcome to share the time it took you to get the new battery. Thanks.

I am receiving my new batteries next week. This is what IBM/lenovo Singapore told me. I have given them my old batteries last week tuesday which in fact should be earlier... because of some batteries cycles problem and hold everything up till last week tuesday..

Need some continuous pestering and they will finally give in to you...

Mine arrived today, I also called them the day after the recall.

I got a question about sending back the old battery:
The included return instructions tell me to use the old packaging for the sony battery, and put the included return label sticker on top of the old label.
So far so good, but there's also a "PULL LABEL (REQUEST)" titled sheet included with an id number, bar codes and my T60 s/n printed on it. There's also a "Descript: SONY6CELL" and a "URGENCY: 4" line on that sheet. So, am I supposed to include that also or do I keep it? The instructions don't mention that sheet anywhere.

I threw the extra sheets away, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to put them back in the box and let IBM throw them away...

I don't believe the 'extras' are required for credit, I've sent back several items over the years to IBM without them.
