2 Questions: VZ Access Error, and VZ Transfer?

#1 Post by idworkin » Sun Oct 15, 2006 11:51 am

Hi Folks -

Just got my T60P (15" UXGA), and have to say that I love it - screen is fantastic, speed is fast (noticeably faster than the t43 that I have for work) - and it doesn't seem that much heavier (thankfully) than the 14.1" model.

However, I do have 2 questions:
- First, periodically, when I got to a website, I'll get the following error (in a dialogue box): "connection can only be used with vz access". I click OK, and then I get the website (note that I'm connected via wifi at this point, not via the verizon card). Any clues on what the issue is and how I can fix it? It's not a huge deal, but it is annoying

- Second (I think I know the answer to this - but will ask anyway :): I have a Verizon card (not built-in) on my T43 that I use for work. Is there any way that I can activate the verizon card in my t60 to share that same plan/same number (I won't be using both at the same time)? I'm guessing the answer is 'no', but you never know unless you ask :)

Thanks!

Ira

I used to switch my old verizon card b/w my laptops all the time. The card is whats activated, not the laptop.

He has a built-in on the T60 and it would have a different ESN than the card, so it would be a problem to use both it and the card. Of course, you can use the card on the T60.

Yep, dfumento is right - I'm looking to use the same number as is on the card with the built-in WWAN on the T60; I understand that I could move the card to the t60
