A30 graphics

#1 Post by Alfred E. Newman » Sun Oct 15, 2006 3:23 pm

Greetings All
I have this A30 which runs ok in windows but always in dos weirdo characters appear, once in windows 98/me/95/98/2000/xp/linux they disappear and the picture is perfect. I've tried running on an ext. mon. both lcd/crt still the problem exsists. Is there a solution or do I throw away my laptop? It would appear that the graphics card/circuit is "knackered" is it possible to rescue the thing? Why does it appear to run ok under windows with only 1 or 2 display aberations? One member suggested that until windows drivers were loaded! That was utter bollocks. Windows drivers do not run the bios/cmos displays etc

So the question remains is my graphics @card/cicuit@ knackered and what can I do about it?
Sorry about the vernacular but what's wrong with it.

regards

you know who.
"What me worry!"
