How much RAM can i put into my T40?

My 2373-14G has 512 built in. How much can I upgrade this?

I believe you can upgrade the T40 to 2 gb. That's 1 gb stick in each of the 2 ram slots.

As in the last post, 2 GB is the maximum of RAM you can add to the T40, as is the case for any T4X Series machine, and use within Windows effectively. Follow the HMM and/or tutorials to get a better understanding of how to access the memory slots; one is under the Thinkpad and a memory cover, the other is under the keyboard. :)

Load it up, either PC2100 or PC2700 will work equally well. Sometimes PC2700 is less expensive and easier to find.

Just DDR, it's 200 pin, it's sodimm, but it should be hard to make a mistake if you search eBay for PC2700 (or PC2100) and sodimm - or any retailer.
