T43 random lockups

I recently swaped from a T42P to a T43p, and I'm having some strange issues with the T43. At random times during the day, the machine will just lock up. I'll be working, and I'll notice the pointer will start to move very slow. At the same time, the fan speed increases, then the machine locks up. I have to power off, then back on to reboot. I've checked the system logs, and nothing shows up. I've tried to open the Task Manager when this happens. but by the time I notice it locking up, it's too late. I replaced the system board a few months ago becuase the machine would not boot up, but maybe Lenovo sent me a bum board. This wouldn't be the first time that happened.

Any thoughts?
