It has been released. YOu can get it at

The upgrade BREAKS CSS 6. The initial startup, after you install it takes forever too. If you open and close it about five times and restart  your machine, the performance of IE7 matches IE6.

Did they fix the bug it causes with Software Update 2?

Otherwise, Software Updater 2 has a far better chance of running properly if you don't have IE7 on your system. :)

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

Here is an article regarding Internet Explorer 7 Final.
Microsoft releases long-awaited Web browser upgrade
The Washington Post (Reuters) wrote:The new browser will be sent as an automatic security update and then users will have an option to install the new Internet Explorer onto their PC. Companies also have the option to block its workers from installing the new browser.

Yay! A final version of IE7. Too bad it's already flawed.

I installed it on my desktop so I could see how my websites looked with it. I had to do some code adjustments with some puzzling results. I prefer Firefox, but since most people use IE, that's how you have to build websites.
Noticed that many of the add-ons cost money. After using Firefox, with all the free extensions, that's kind of lame.

lol, umm... how come when i go to the microsoft website to download IE7, Avast pops up saying the connection is trying to download a worm? It's not the IE7 file itself, just after I hit "upgrade now" on the main website that it does this.
