Hi members,
I hibernate my X60s three times and each time it recovers from hibernation it prompts for the passphrase. Each time i manage to unlock the laptop, except for the third time. At the third time I entered the correct passhprase , but the Client Security Solution said that it is wrong. I tried to enter through forgot password mechanism, and CSS said that i answered all the security questions wrongly. This is really weird because I just installed the passphrase yesterday and totally sure that i Have entered all correctly.
Finally I tried to unlock the laptop using admin username and password and it managed to get through, but with a message saying that "the CSS chip settings has been changed due to modification done to the motherboard" or something like that.
It is really weird because i did'nt do anything to the laptop, I only hibernate it since 15 minutes ago.
What should i do? Should i disable the Client Security Solution?
Hibernate 3x, then passphrase unrecognized
I haven't tried hibernating again, because i'm afraid i would not be able to access my files.
But so far the CSS has been giving me various error messages such as "Security chip has been disabled" or "Cannot retrieve passphrase" and other error message, which occur at unpredictable times, and do not recur once I restart the computer.
I dunno, seem that the CSS is very buggy? Should i disable it? I am just too afraid to be locked out of my laptop since CSS's behaviour has been so unpredictable.
My CSS version is 6.0
