COMO's battery A31

#1 Post by rmplayer » Fri Oct 20, 2006 1:58 pm

I put a new CMOS battery into my Thinkpad A31 last week and the computer booted to the A drive. Today I tried to boot up the computer to install software and all that happens is the battery light flashes. I was using an AC adapter without a battery. Does the CMOS expire without a charged battery or do I have a leak in the system?

I suddenly got the idea that it may be the turn on button. I will read the assembly instructions and take a look this weedend.
