Flickering cursor and TrackPoint center button

I'm curious if others have seen this behavior:

On my newly purchased T60, the cursor can suddenly revert to flickering (appearing / disappearing) rapidly. I've not been able to track any specific action that triggers it. It can occur while working in MS Word, using IE 6, etc.

I discovered that clicking the TrackPoint center button (the scroll button) once immediately stops the flickering cursor.

In addition to confirming that others have seen this, I'd of course like to find a way to prevent it from happening in the first place.

It happened to me before in my T60 and before that in my Z60M & R51
Its normal

Maybe a update of the ultranav drivers will help!
