I would just like to say I ordered my Thinkpad today :)

I decided to go for the 2373-JXU. I realized that although portability is a factor, I'm sure the 15" is still good, and it won't be that much of a strain on my back :P

Overall, after expidited shipping, taxes, and everything it came up to about $3700 CDN, which is about 2600 USD, I think that I got a pretty good deal, considering canada is overpriced.

edit: I just found out the battery life is listed as 5.8 hours, so now I'm happier.

Hi Vasant56,
Congrats, I'm sure you will be vey happy with it.
One thing though, to get 5.8 hours you will need to buy the 9-cell high capacity battery. The only thinkpad that come standard with the 9-cell battery are the T42P models, all the others come with the 6-cell. You can get 4 hours on the 6-cell your notebook will come with if you turn down the LCD brightness some and use the power modes to slow down the CPU.

I just bought the 9-cell battery at www.computergiants.com for $87
Here is the link, and I see they just lowered the price to $85

I would get one if I were you as this is a great price and I think when this price gets around it may come back up to what everyone else is selling this battery for. After putting this battery in, my battery life went from about 4 hours to about 6 hours.

Congrats on your new purchase! I am convinced that you will enjoy the added real estate the Flexview offers. Great res. and viewing from just about any angle.

Not to mention, these things are built like a tank. I've had mine on the road for the last month with no gliches or problems. Wireless works flawlessly.

Enjoy! :D
