T43 Major problem, Please Help!

Hi, this is the first time i post on this forum, anyway let me get stright to my problem.

I bought my T43 last year around June 2005 (Singapore) With 3 years warranty and recently my T43 gives me alot of headache. I tried countless of troubleshooting but still did not succeed. For your info i also search through this forum, but still i can't find a clear solution to it. Anyway let me list out the problems and things what i have done.

Problems:

T43 Failed to boot most of the times (only showing blank screen)
T43 If bootup sucessfully, it will freeze (hang) if i move it. ( even a slight movement will freeze it).
Sometimes T43 will also freeze wiithout any user interaction.
Sometimes when it freeze the screen will shut off.

What i have done, but still did not succeed:

Update lastest BIOS & Embedded Controller
Changing & Swapping RAM
Changing new HDD and fresh Install Windows XP Pro
Update OS Critical updates etc etc
Update IBM drivers and stuff using System Update


If you asked me either i ever picked up my T43 one-handed i probably did, can't really remember.

What i picked up from this forum:

The problem could be defect with the MainBoard
Or
Maybe the LCD screen got a problem?

Based on your description, it seems like the motherboard. Explain your problem to IBM / Lenovo as clearly as you did here and ask that it be repaired. ... JD Hurst

Welcome to the Thinkpad forums.

Hmmm, moving it and it just freezes? That sounds like a mobo/planar problem, unfortuanately. Usually caused by carrying the Thinkpad by one corner for an extended period of time.

I would do as John says and see what IBM/Lenovo will do about it.
