warranty extension for t40

warranty extension for t40

My T40 have warranty until december and i thought maybe it would be wise to extend this, but i am little bit confused.....

maybe someone can explain me what does this product contains? Example: does this help when my t40 motherboard failes? :roll:

You have to be careful because Lenovo will cover some models and IBM will cover others. I believe, at least in the U.S., that IBM covers the T40's, since they were originally sold from IBM.

I was able to email IBM for information about upgrading the contract on my T40. The representative was helpful, I suggest you try to call support or email IBM for assistance.

They will provide part numbers and costs.

For U.S. warranties, system boards are covered.

Thank you for the answer :) I think at least in Estonia IBM and Lenovo are the same, but to be completely sure i will contact with IBM. I`m asking all of this because the warranty extension for three years seems so cheap....aprox 100$
