LCD do not resume after i moved the mouse.

#1 Post by kccheng » Tue Oct 24, 2006 2:38 am

Hello,
seems it happens on battery power only, when the LCD goes blank, it usually take a button or mouse move to bring it alive again. but in my T60 it doesn't work all the time. it happened around 5 times so far.
I found that a system stand by->resume (fn+f4) will bring the lcd back to life.
any other see this problem?

I also have the same problem. Have not really determined the cause.

Is it just the screen that goes off or is your computer going into sleep? (as on battery mode, it's possible that after x minutes the pc goes into sleep while on adapter it just turns off the lcd)

You're probably seeing the Microsoft bug described here:
http://support.microsoft.com/KB/917332

The patch is available by requesting the file from MS's web site, or here: http://hf.xable.net/

hi,
this KB patch looks fit to my problem. I've installed it and did a few LCD flipping, it is OK so far.
thanks for your information.
