Speed of COMBO DRIVE GCC-4242N (T42 model)

Hi
I tested the combo drive and I think it it extremly slow, even though I adjusted bios option and windows power setting to run combo drive in performance mode.
I was copying a 4GB data file from DVD to hard drive. it took almost 30 minutes :evil: :evil: :evil: . If it is 8X it should take below 20 minutes.( I tested it on my desktop with panasonic 8X DVD rom and I got 12 miniutes !! :shock: )

is this normal? or is there any setting to improve this speed?
