Hello all,

I'd like to get a nice X series. Either something within X20 - X24 or X30 - X 32.

1. Better without the Ultrabase as I'd like to buy a very slim external USB DVD writer (maybe Plextor PX-608CU). Opinions on which external drive are very welcome.

2. Better with bluetooth and wireless built-in.

3. No operation system required as I will install linux on it (I still not sure which version: Ubuntu, SuSe?)

4. And if it has warranty, even better!!! :wink:

Thank you all,

K.

How about a really really nice X40 with...
P M 1.2GHz LV,
1.5 GB RAM (upgraded)
40GB HDD,
12.1 XGA(1024x768) TFT LCD,
Intel Extreme Graphics 2,
IBM 802.11a/b/g wireless (upgraded)
Modem(CDC),
Bluetooth(CDC),
8 cell Li-Ion battery (120 cycle count - 90% of design capacity - still getting over 3.5 hours per charge)

IBM warranty good until 2008-02-23

Looking to get $850 shipped to CONUS.

Condition:
- new keyboard (just replaced by IBM)
- new Think Light;
- three small white spots on lcd;
- new hard drive cover (black plastic);
- very minor wear on the sides;
- overall condition: 8.5/10 (I am conservative)

30-day satisfaction guarantee (return shipping is your cost).

Thanks.

CJ

Thank you CJ,

It looks very good, but unfortunately I'm looking for something cheaper (probably $500 tops). Also, X40's have smaller HD, therefore no chances to get 7200 RPM HD in them.

Thx,

K.

Thank you pianowizard!
Looks good, but it is broke here and there, so I don't know...The seller looks honest, though. :D
Thanks a lot,

you're gonna have a bit trouble getting a wifi and bluetooth on x20-x24 though since someone had to modify it

Many X22 - X24 models have built-in wireless or bluetooth. Check the Tawbook for the models.
