Dim screen of T41

I have a T41 (2379-DJU) with a SXGA+ LCD screen.
It's been used for 2.5 years and still has the remaining
on-site warranty until April 2008.
The screen is dim even full brightness setting probably
due to natural cause, age.
I'm wondering if anybody ever contacted IBM-Serv and
repaired the dim screen under warranty with same reason.
Does warranty allow to replace the dim screen with new one for free?
Any comments will be welcomed. Thanks.

I called Ibm-SERV and they agreed to replace dim lcd.
I had the technician on-site yesterday, and after replacement,
the lcd is much much brighter (except one stuck pixel).
Anyway, I'm totally satisfied with this service.
