I'm not an Apple owner but from all the time I spend using Mac OS X in my school's graphic arts program, I've really taken a liking to Safari. Since that's not on the poll and because I'm a PC user, I voted Firefox for it's unbeatable interface.

I like Firefox, but I use Opera more nowadays - Firefox does not handle lower resolution displays as well, like downsizing images or wrapping text. It has options for these settings, but in my experience they don't actually do much. A big issue for someone whose main laptop is only SVGA.

Firefox 2 here. I've been using Firefox since 1.0PR (Yes, yes, I know some of you have used it since the Firebird / Pheonix days, but 1.0PR is pretty good
).
I havent installed IE7 yet because I need IE6 to test web sites in.
Opera is bloated if you ask me. Not my gig.
Netscape used to be good, but now its laughable.

Any Netscape above 4.7 was, ahem, "bloated"; really. For me, it is just the opposite, however. Firefox 2 gets seriously bloated, in terms of memory use, whilst Opera stays at the same usage level over time. I have seen this kind of behaviour since before 1.5.7 and I have really no idea what causes it. I used to think "Oh, must be themes and extensions" but I really didn't have any of those running and the bare install used to do that.

That's a suprise. Typically when browsing a forum, I open a new tab for each thread I read. With Firefox, I get "running out of memory" warnings with over 20 tabs open (my t-note has 320MB); I read forums the same way with Opera and have yet to get this. Opera also seems to have a smaller footprint as far as drive space.RUSH2112 wrote:Opera is bloated if you ask me. Not my gig.

Interesting...
I've been using Firefow for about a year or two now. And i must say i'm very pleased with it.
In the beginning , coming from Internet explorer i loved the new idea (for me) of tabs.
Now IE7 has tabs to so it got me wondering.
But all i've heard about IE7 is negative...

I'm a FireFox 1.5 user. I'm going to wait a couple weeks to see if any major bugs shake out of FireFox 2.0.
I still use IE for some sites, but not all that often.
