IBM 802.11a/b/g Driver

#4 Post by davidashaw » Sat Aug 28, 2004 10:34 am

I don't have the link, but while searching for the driver myself several days ago, I ran across a more current driver on the IBM website:

Version 3.1.102.23
Release 2004/08/23
1xwc09ww.exe

You should be able to find it. I'm pretty sure that this is the correct driver.

Good luck,

David

IBM 802.11a/b/g Mini-PCI Driver

#6 Post by davidashaw » Sat Aug 28, 2004 12:34 pm

I have just ordeded the IBM 802.11a/b/g Mini-PCI Card to replace my a/b card. I downloaded the driver to prepare for the installation. I'm not sure the difference between the versions other than the one I provided is dated 23 Aug 04 versus 2 Jun 04. Remember, you will need to download the updated IBM ACCESS software and install it before installing the new driver.

I tried two back doors through IBM Partner sites and couldn't download either file.

I'll try it again late tonight, but weekends are often when IBM updates the FTP sites and we might have to wait until late Sunday night or early Monday morning to get them.

James

IBM 802.11a/b/g Mini-PCI Card

#8 Post by davidashaw » Sat Aug 28, 2004 3:13 pm

I had no trouble whatsoever downloading the driver version
3.1.102.23 from the IBM website. All I can say is keep trying. Also note that the IBM ACCESS is a very large program/update to download.

Since it's a relatively small file, is there any chance you'd be willing to host it? Or that Bill would be willing to host it? (I completely accept that he takes no liability for the file and its effects, that he's simply generously hosting it....)

The first one is for the MiniPCI card the second is for an adapter card. But I still can't get either link to work. :(

Hi,

This is very strange because I downloaded version 3.1.102.23 couple days ago and it installed fine. But it no longer is available. I wonder why?

Also, IBM Access Connections version 3.30 asks for Driver version 3.1.102.23 for IBM 802.11a/b/g Wireless but when I click on it, it brings version 3.1.1.5401

Should I uninstall it and go back to version 3.1.1.5401?

I've called IBM too, they called me back last night and told me the site was now operational....but it's not to me. Can any of you reach the downloads?
