$60 (minimum) for this screen... past 570s sold recently on eBay... ranging from $60 to over $200. I'd say it's probably more sentimental value to put the money into the 570 (don't know the specs) as opposed toward a newer, faster system (a T20 or T21 for example).

Also, when linking an eBay auction, if you have the item number it's easier to plug that number into eBay's search box, click the search button, then copy the resulting URL up to and including the item number, to derive a simpler URL:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0042884366

Everthing in the URL after the item number is not really needed. That is, if you don't use the [url] tags or wait for a moderator to edit the post.

Ray's right- If only for sentimental value. It's not a good investment, but if it works otherwise, and you don't mind putting more money into it. I would probably sell it, since it's just a 366, unless it suits your purpose absolutely fine. The resale would probably be less than $50 without the screen, unless you can find a buyer who has the screen and just needs the base.

no real sentimental value to it... was my first ibm laptop and loved it. i set it on the ground while cleaning my room one day and stepped on it :( id like to keep it and fix it up, but after owning my t21 i really dont think i need two laptops and a gaming desktop. its lighter then my t21 and id like to keep one just in the car for my carPC... i cant make up my mind :D

Well then, if you're sure that the only damage is to the screen, then I'd say lurk around eBay until you find an LCD going for cheaper. Since your system (2644-3BU) indicates a 13.3" XGA screen, I would suggest that you also use the FRU numbers in your searches (05K9506 or 05K9492).

You never know, you might come across an unexpected bargain, every now and then you see screens on ebay pulled from working machines for around $40 or less even sometimes :D
760ED All the way.

FEEL THE BURN! From the bottom of that particular laptop... right in the bawsack! eek
