Problem with Access Connection 4.12 and 4.21

Hello!

I own a Thinkpad T43p with IBM WLAN card (Atheros).

Access Connection 3.81 worked well. I upgraded to 4.12 where I can't connect to a specific WLAN which is WPA encrypted (It worked well with same settings in 3.81). Another WLAN with same router and same configuration works well. Also unencrypted networks work well. An upgrade to version 4.21 didn't help.

Uninstalling and installing AC without destroying the profiles didn't help, too.

It hangs on "Warten auf Zuordnung" which fails, e.g. waiting for assignment should be the english translation.

Any ideas?

I also got the T43p and the Atheros wlan card (11a/b/g Wireless LAN mini PCI Adapter II). I been using AC 4.12 and 4.21 with this wlan card and never had any problems. Did you also upgrade the driver or are you using an old driver with AC 4.21? I currently use the latest driver available from IBM/Lenovo.

I connect to several wireless networks with different setup (WPA, WPA2 and others).

Ok, I restored the old AC 3.82 with old driver, updated to new driver and it works well. The Problem is, that I didn't export the profile with the old 3.x version. The *.loc file exported from AC 4.x can not be read from 3.x.

Is there a conversion utility or some other trick available?

Afterwards I tried a complete uninstall of drivers and Access connections and a new install of 4.x without any success.

Any ideas left?
