thoughts on a potential t20 deal

#1 Post by shredfitz » Mon Oct 30, 2006 6:09 pm

I have the chance to buy a t20 that is without a hard drive for fifty bucks. The other setback to this deal is that the BIOS password is unknown. Is this worth my while ?

Due to the rules of this board, discussion of BIOS/supervisor password recovery/discovery/hacking, is prohibited.

If it doesn't work out for you, you could double your money (or more) and sell it for parts.

Don't risk it

Whoa there! You may well double your money, but unless you're absolutely sure of the legitimacy of this laptop you risk putting forum members offside. Trust me, it's not worth one cent, compared with all the risks, if you can't establish it's legit, and I would say, in this case, even if you can.

Let's not get crazy. No one suggesting buying or selling stolen equipment. I'm just saying that a T20 with a good screen and all part minus the HD is definitely worth $50. I'll take one.

I would agree with underclocker, only if it has a good screen. You could recoup your $50 by selling the cpu, shell, bezels, etc...but the screen would make it worthwhile.
