Have a T40 with a Cisco wireless card. I was wondering if there were any programs/mods that could somehow boost the wireless connectivity. Even an external antenna might work, but how would I go about connecting one to a minipci card? Thanks
Already know about netstumbler...nothing special
WiFi Signal Boosting
well you really shouldn't do anything like that seeing that it could damage your notebook. that being said, i myself purchased an orinoco b/g gold card which has a hole to attach an external antenna. that would be my reccomendation.
i originally bought the orinoco b/c my thinkpad came with the 2100b intel card which linux doesnt have a driver for. however, i then found ndiswrapper and havent used my orinoco for some time now, it justs sits in my notebook bag.
