I have T43 that I've had since January. I'm using XP professional, 2002 with service pack 2, Intel Pentium M, 1.73 GHz, 795 MHz, .99 GB Ram. Software is auto updated. PC doctor can't find anything. Spent 3 hours with IBM and updated drivers. But still when coming out of hibernate I get blue screen of death and out of standby a black screen with the hard drive running.
Any one experience this before? Any solutions?
Any help would be appreciated.
Allen

Welcome to the Thinkpad Forums
First off, what does the BSOD display as the cause of the error and how long has the system being behaving like that?

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

T43- blue screen after hibernate and black after standby?
Thanks.
Not sure what BSOD is but on the blue screen says it's hardware problem and contact the administrator but not which hardware. and Windows says it has recovered from a serious error and has logged it in the temp file. I tried to open the .dmp file but couldn't and the sysata.xlm file was creek to me. As far as I remember it has never worked properly. I work from home and our help desk hasn't been able to help and neither has IBM help desk. I can send the error files to you if you think it would help. The IBM guy didn't want them!
Thanks,
Allen

Sounds like the DMP file is getting locked right after the reboot. Make a copy of it to anohter location and then reboot, that should release the WFP lock on it and then you should be able to read it. I can read them if that would help, but I think that we need to find the specific piece of hardware/software that is causing that first.
Doing it since you got it? Must have put up with it for a long time.
