UPDATE: See this thread for the most up-to-date photo.

3 July 2005:

From left to right:
1) Thinkpad 240: 300MHz Celeron, 320MB PC66, 10.4" SVGA
2) Gateway E-3200: 1.1GHz Pentium III, 512MB PC100, 20" UXGA
3) Dell Inspiron 700m: 1.6GHz Pentium M, 512MB PC2700, 12.1" WXGA
4) Dell Inspiron 8200: 1.6GHz Pentium 4, 1GB PC2100, 15" SXGA+

All of the above computers have been sold.

2 November 2006:
Image
1) Dell Dimension B110: 2.53GHz Celeron D, 2GB PC3200
2) 7" TV
3) 19" Rosewill R911E LCD monitor, 1280x1024
4) Thinkpad T43: 1.86GHz Pentium M, 2GB PC2-4200, SXGA+
5) Thinkpad X40: 1.2GHz Pentium M, 1.5GB PC2700, XGA

Dec 3rd Update:

Sold the X40 and the 19" Rosewill monitor, bought a USB turntable and a Dell 2407WFP 24" monitor, which totally dwarfs the T43!

I don't have a piano with me. Instead, I go to the university's music building to practice.

Very nice turnaround. almost 6000 CDs ! wow thats alot....
What is it you do If you mind me asking. Just having tvo TPs for fun is ok. But most ppl have a reason for it anyway. I have tvo, one I use for college the T42 and one for use at home for me and my family the T43.

Its alittle cramped on that desk didnt want to get a bigger desk when you updated the laptops?.

You might have guessed that I am a disk jockey, but I am a scientistist. I have three computers at home (as shown in the photo) and two at work, for multitasking. My room is too small to accommodate a bigger desk!

That number is for the net gain in 2006, during which I have sold more CDs than bought.

Your new setup is much better than the old. But I might be a little biased.

Your CD collection is impressive. But I didn't find: Liszt Sonata in B minor performed by Shura Cherkassky. Get that one, you'll like it.

CA was a ripoff by a guy which encouraged other people to get rid of his "excess" computers by giving them to him. Now he has the biggest collection of Thinkpads in the world, with more total computing power than 1000 Big Blues. He keeps his electrical bill always above average (for an amusement park), and is trying to find a way to get even more Thinkpads without annoying his wife. His name is... :P

I bought two new toys (24" LCD monitor and a USB turntable) and sold two old ones (X40 and 19" LCD), so I took a new photo of my home setup today. See the first post in this thread for the new photo.

Where'd you get the turntable and what brand did you settle for?

I've been looking at them for quite awhile in order to continue converting my DGG LP collection to MP3s. I've been using my Rabco SL8E with an Ortofon V15 on a Technics SL-1200 to slowly convert my ancient collection of LPs from my R&R days.

Just looking to find something more computer compatible.
