ThinkPad Song

#1 Post by thePCxp » Fri Nov 03, 2006 3:54 am

Here is a song that I wrote about ThinkPads. The song is called "ThinkPads." I hope you all like it. :D

ThinkPads:

Let me tell you all about a laptop computer brand
It’s called the Lenovo ThinkPad notebook
Formally the IBM ThinkPad notebook
You may be wondering what’s so great about the ThinkPad brand
So let me tell you all what’s so great about the ThinkPad brand
First of all they are the most innovative laptop out there
Second, they are the sturdiest and longest lasting laptops out there
And third of all, they are the most reliable laptops put there
And there are many more reasons why ThinkPads are so great

ThinkPads
I want a lot of ThinkPads
There are a lot of ThinkPads
I want all the ThinkPads
‘Cause I just love ThinkPads

There are a lot of ThinkPads that you can choose from
Such as the R series, which has mainstream performance in a portable package
And It’s the mainstream ThinkPad of the ThinkPad line
The T series is the perfect balance of performance and portability
And it’s the thin and light ThinkPad of the ThinkPad line
The X series has great performance in a small package
And It’s the ultraportable ThinkPad of the ThinkPad line
The Z series is the Widescreen ThinkPad of the ThinkPad line
And it’s also the first widescreen ThinkPad in ThinkPad history
And the last but not least is the ThinkPad Tablet, which is the tablet PC of the ThinkPad line

ThinkPads
I want a lot of ThinkPads
There are a lot of ThinkPads
I want all the ThinkPads
‘Cause I just love ThinkPads
I want a lot of ThinkPads
There are a lot of ThinkPads
I want all the ThinkPads
‘Cause I just love ThinkPads

So if you’re going to get a computer
And it’s going to be a laptop
Consider getting a ThinkPad, instead of getting one of the other laptops out there
It’ll last you for a long time
And they’re reliable

ThinkPad. Get One.

You might want to copyright it before Lenovo decides to use it for an ad.

Unfortunately, I was listening to a Beatles song as I happened to open this thread, so I kind of read it with a happy go lucky tune. Lets try that again with "Pantera - Cowboys from Hell"

Actually, it is such that in the US, Copyright is bestowed automatically upon the author upon the moment of creation of the work. Making it technically illegal for someone else to use that work for profit or means not explicitly permissable by the original author(s). The content creator when then have the right to pul a Cease-and-Desist if the content is used in a forbidden manner.

Now, if one was to put their ©, their name, and the year of copyright; extra protection would be afforded. Protection where you could actually not only tell the infringer to stop, but actually legally persue them for damages for each and every act of infringement. It gets even worse if the copyright notice is removed.

It wasn't always like that, but now it is by law. :)

Now now, we don't want thePCxp to turn into a popular Action Figure of a Musician as well as becoming infamous for something else rather tragic; lest we might end up with this. :D

The edited chorus kinda sounds like "We all came to montreal ..." bit of Smoke on the Water :D
Now: T60 2613-EKU | T23 2647-9NU | 600X 2645-9FU | HP 100LX
Past: X31 2673-Y13 | T41 2374-3HU | T22 2647-AEU

Thanks, and I am planning on becoming a singer (and I also want to act) before I go to college and then work for Lenovo as a computer engineer.

Great to hear that. All the best to you. What major and minor do you intend to take up in college?

Since you say you want to work for Lenovo, i suggest you take Computer Science as your major.

*Just a recommendation*

Your loyalty is impressive, as I don't think it's any secret that you have a few non-functional and marginally-functional TPs. :P And I've seen you utter the "M word".

But that's OK - we're probably all TP fans (in the non-CPU sense) around here.

CS is a rather hard core program to go through.

So if you want to work at Lenovo, my question then is : what do you want to do for Lenovo?

Answer that, then pick a major.

Are you into engineering? Programming? Chip Design? Or more basic stuff like product testing and so on?

Find out what you want to do for a living, then find the training.

Doing it the other way around IMO while interesting, would be a tad wasteful IMO.

You seem like a really cool girl with her head on (relatively) straight. Lenovo would love to have you on their staff i'm sure.
New:
Thinkpad T430s 8GB DDR3, 1600x900, 128GB + 250GB SSD's, etc.
Old:

ThinkPad Tablet 16GB 1838-22U
IBM Thinkpad X61T, T61, T43, X41T, T60, T41P, T42, T410, X301

I'm very tempted to write a metal guitar riff to this.
Frankenpad X31.5 (X31 casing, X32 motherboard) 1.8ghz Pentium M processor, 1gb RAM,
60gb HDD dual booting Arch GNU/Linux && Windows XP
