cloning dvd's

#1 Post by 440roadrunner » Sat Nov 04, 2006 8:42 pm

I finally broke down (believe it or not) and bought my first DVD burrner. I'd like to copy my factory dvd's for backups to keep the real ones from getting beat up.

Any suggestions on inexpensive, easy to use, reliable software?

I don't think I need a whole raft of features--I'm not going into the movie production business.

I use Nero but it's not free. Have you tried download.com?
Microsoft Surface 3 (Atom x7-Z8700 / 4GB / 128GB / LTE)
Dell OptiPlex 9010 SFF (Core i3-3220 / 8GB / 8TB); HP 8300 Elite minitower (Core i7-3770 / 16GB / 9.25TB)
Acer T272HUL; Crossover 404K; Dell 3008WFP, U2715H, U2711, P2416D; Monoprice 10734; QNIX QHD2410R; Seiki Pro SM40UNP

The drive came with Nero, but Nero will copy a movie cd. At the price of those things, I don't want them getting scratched up.

Download.com doesn't tell me much, is there something special I'm looking for?

Unfortunately, this topic is not allowed, per Bill. He has closed a few threads on this same topic.
