How to pull off keycaps safely from my IBM X24's keyboard?

#1 Post by dune » Sun Nov 05, 2006 5:29 am

Hello, and first sorry for my bad english.
I recently bought ibm x24 but the keyboard is german layout. So I need to change the places of Y and Z keycaps. I was wondering how those can be safely pulled off? Will i break something if i just lift those keycaps off from both sides of the key? And can I attach those again simply pushing them back to keyboard?

- Thanks for your help! -

That is not an easy operation, although it is doable. In fact, I remember reading some posts in the forum where some member explains a very difficult procedure to do it. Try to do a search for the words keyboard key pop.

EDIT: I just realized you are a new member. Welcome to the forum! :D Here is one of the threads where this issue is discussed.
