Second Harddrive

#1 Post by cklein » Sun Aug 29, 2004 9:54 pm

Is it possible for me to use a second harddrive temporarily with thinkpad without buying any new hardware?

?? im confused. if you're asking if you can use another hd in your thinkpad the answer is yes. if you're asking if you can plug your other laptop hd into your thinkpad the answer is maybe, but it'll attempt to install all the thinkpad drivers on your machine.

In order to use a second HD still using the first HD you must invest in a HD bay that fits into your CDrom slot.

Replacing the first HD with a temporarily second HD is not problem as long as the second HD carries a proper bootable OS and drivers for
your Thinkpad.

What I am trying to do

#4 Post by cklein » Mon Aug 30, 2004 12:41 pm

I am trying to ghost my current HD to a second HD, and ghost back. Basically, I am trying to find a way to reinstall my thinkpad, as it's becoming slow.

Any easy way to do this?

Thanks.
