Hello,
My X60 makes a low clicking sound when i open and close the lid. I am pretty sure that it is coming from the small part on the left-bottom part of the screen, where the band attaches the screen and the computer (I am pretty sure that it is not coming from the hinge). In fact, when I watch it, the small piece that the band feeds in to seems to be a little loose, but it is the same way on another X60 that is not making the clicking...
The only other time I have seen something like this is with a cell phone, that was replaced, but I never figured out what exactly was wrong with it.
Does anyone know if this is something I should be taking seriously? Or how I can fix it? Is it just something that might need to be tightened?
Thanks!!
Mike
"clicking" sound when opening/closing lid
Same here.
You know, I started to hear the clicking (more like cracking) 3 months into ownership of my X60s.
I've learned to live with it, however, it is very annoying.
