Dock II power supply to PCI cards ?

PCI cards, e.g. video cards, often list a certain wattage of power supply under system requirements, e.g. 300W. Are these always compatible with the Dock II? How can you tell? Is there an internal power line in the Dock II you can hook up to a PCI card? Or should I rig up an external DC supply to the PCI card?
