Firewire Card

#1 Post by benjo42 » Mon Aug 30, 2004 3:19 pm

My T42 is coming in a few days and I was wondering if anyone had any info about firewire PCMCIA cards. I would like to get one that doesn't stick out the side (flush). Do they make anything like this? I heard something about 1934.a ??? I have an Ipod, and an external HD that both run on Firewire. I don't want to use USB 2.0 if I can get something like this.

Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions that would be great!

The only Firewire card I know that doesn't stick out the side is from IBM. You can get it on ebay. But the special cable for this card doesn't fit in the ipod since generation 3. You need a special adapter for this (which is available, I saw a picture once on ipodlounge.com).

I am having difficulties finding this particular card. Can you give me some specs or a part no?

That would be excellent...
