Files Recreating Themselves

#1 Post by Rex » Sat Nov 11, 2006 9:22 am

Hi there,

Read somewhere that one can rename os2.exe; os2srv.exe; psxss.exe; os2ss.exe' and posix.exe so that they don't load anything to do with OS2. So gave them all a *.xxx extension.

Having done that and checked WINNIT/Sys32, the files have been recreated. Now have (for example) os2.exe and os2.xxx.

If these files are not needed, can they be permanently deleted?

Many thanks for your advice,

Rex
Take care, take it easy and don't forget to smell the flowers!
