T41 doesn't always shut down as it should...
Quick question...
On occasion, when i shut down my T41, it just refuses to shut down, displays an error message and the only way I can get it to shut down is to then remove the battery.
I suspect, this may be a software releated issue, but do others get this problem.
It really is annoying that you think you shut down, only to see the machine still on!
This seems to happen on a regular basis.

will take a look to see what version I have. How do I find out what version I have? If I click on Access IBM is opens but can't see where it shows the version number.

He is talking about IBM Access Connections, not Acess IBM. You can start it with start->all programs->Access IBM->IBM Acess Connections. Under Help->Product Information you see the version number.bunder wrote:will take a look to see what version I have. How do I find out what version I have? T40p 2373-g1g: 1.6 GHz, 1536 MB RAM, 160 GB @ 5400 rpm drive, 64 MB Video, IBM a/b/g II, CD-RW/DVD Combo II, M10 Fan, Ubuntu 8.04
I had the same problem with Access Connection 3.20. It also caused a problem suspending. In that case, it ran my battery down to 0%, and I lost about 20% of the battery cap. (Good thing I also had the loose battery wiggle, so IBM came through with a new one.GACrabill wrote:Make sure that the version of IBM Access Connections that you have is NOT 3.20 (it was quickly replaced with 3.21 after causing this problem for tons of people).
Upgrade to the latest Access Connections!
