the actual mouse buttons

thats what i get for following the manual for keyboard removal... lol
it said to lift up from that area, pulled up with finger nail after pushing from behind, finger slipped and ripped out the scroll button.

closer inspection revealed 4 clips to pry from

grrr...now i am waiting for my glue to cure

Final update on this:

Ordered a new one off ebay for 30 bucks. Problem solved. [censored] that was an expensive mistake :)

by the way, do you mean the red cap? if that is true, you can replace it for less than $5.

No it's not the trackpoint cap :) I would've ordered a pack of them if I some how broke it. Actually I wanna try the soft dome one.. the one with the little bumps.

Where are you guys finding the red pointer caps?

Mine looke like the surface of the moon, and I would LOVE to replace it.

You can get them from eBay or from IBM directly.
