Verzion EVDO Rev A. (next version) on Santa Rosa

#1 Post by dfumento » Wed Nov 15, 2006 8:25 pm

Even though Sprint EVDO Rev A, the later generation than the current Rev 0 is available on Sony laptops, the Verizon EVDO Rev A. won't be available on Thinkpads until the Santa Rosa chipsets come out in the Spring.

I heard this from a very reliable source in sales.

Does anyone know if the current integrated EV-DO cards will work when Verizon upgrades to the new EV-DO Rev. A? If not, would it be difficult to swap them out? Thanks.

The current integrated cards will work, they just wont be capable of going as fast as the Rev. A ones.
