wireless n router and x60s

I'm about to receive a new Belkin N1 router, has anyone downloaded
(Wireless LAN ThinkPad 11abgn for Windows 2000, XP - ThinkPad R60, R60e, T60, T60p, X60, X60s, Z61e, Z61m, Z61p, Z61t) from lenovo site and found it improves speed for 'n' routers?

You need to have the a/b/g/n mini-PCI which IBM now sells as a separate part. That is what that software driver you mentioned is for.

Do the new X60/X60s/X60t mini-PCI wifi supporting "n" connect to the Belkin pre-N router as well as they would to any other "post"-N router?

One really can't say without testing it. But, it is an Atheros mini-pci and a unit typically talks best with a unit with the same chipset, that is a router with an Atheros chip that uses 'n'.
