Rotate Display

#1 Post by tartag » Fri Nov 17, 2006 3:55 pm

Hey All-

First time post and I have to say I am ever amazed at the wealth of knowledge I have been able to gleen within this site. I've liberated a T-20 for some personal use and my desired project causes me to query the forum for some guidance. I would like to be able to rotate (digitally not physically) the display output 180 degrees. I can do this with other machines that use an NVidia gpu and Dell's seem to offer the abillity to do the same. Has anyone had cause or be aware of some path that might guide me to acheive the task?

I hope this is the first of many posts and look forward to any responses.

Cheers,
-tartag

I recently picked up a HP LCD panel w/c came with "Pivot" software that allows me to rotate 90, 180, 270 degrees...

Here's a freeware version (I've not tried it)....

Much thanks, PivotPro seems to work, the freeware, not so much. Now just need to decide if it is worth $40!

I see the opposite! I just downloaded iRotate and it worked a charm for the 90degrees I wanted but seemed to be missing parts of the image rather when flipped 180 (might be a TFT issue).

Hmm- so do I take it from your signature that you are using a T42? Does it use the same Savage video card? as I said 90 degrees works (though 240 seems to be the same as 90) 180 merely generates a system *beep* and resets to normal...

ATI MOBILITY FIRE GL T2
driver 8.133.2050525a-024243CIBM

I guess there is more range in the T42s than one would expect...
