Cant boot with my mouse plugged in.

#1 Post by rabbarba » Fri Nov 17, 2006 5:22 pm

Hi, i''ve got an IBM t43 2669-E65.

The thing is, i got a logitech MX510 mouse. It acts all wierd and the red led stops shining when i got it plugged in to one of the ports. Works on the other port, but when i restart the laptop, the win XP blue loader you know after bios, it just loads and loads withpout anything happening. When i dont have my mouse plugged in, the computer boots up fine. The mouse works fine on my other computer.
Got WIN XP Professional SP2.

I've seen problems like this before on desktops... it's likely a driver interaction problem during boot up. Will the mouse and Win work if you plug it in after the computer is booted? USB is designed to be safe for hotplugging.

Yeah, it works after i've booted into windows.
But it still loses connection randomly for about 2 secs, really annyoing while playing a game and so on.

But now i've got a bigger prob:

Doh! Do turn that in for warranty replacement.
