390x replacement screen compatability?

#1 Post by 94countryz » Tue Aug 31, 2004 9:40 pm

Hi,

I have a 390x (2626-FOU) with 12.1" lcd and was wondering if it is possible to replace this lcd assembly with a complete 14.1" lcd/bezel with all parts inside. Looking at the IBM site it seems like the only thing else I'd need is a 14.1" LVDS board to get it to plug in. Is this all it would take to get the screen to work? I realize the case bottom is a bit bigger for the 14.1 too.

TIA for any answers,
Brett

No, sorry. The F0U Celeron is the only 390X built on a different MB than the other models.

The case is the same as the 14.1" units though.
