The 4894s on my T23 motherboard look to be power MOSFET transistors. I had one like it turn into an LED a couple of weeks back.

Hrm... if power was applied then the corrosion is probably too extensive to reclaim them.

Any way you can get us a picture of the little buggers?

sorry about delay replying

the legs have gone i will try to get a picture though i have been distracted by another t30 ,got this onerunning with a 4200 hd i have to say all round as much as i love my t23 (1.2g cpu, fully maxed ram and 7200 hd ) i prefere the t30 this is 2.0g and even with the slow hd and lesser ram it is pacey although very slow loading up xp .
i have to clear the sitting room floor of laptops by sat night before wife comes back from france , so will take pic before i clear up.

i bought a dvd rewiter with dual layer but the scally wag failed to mention it was region 1 i need reg 2 it has no changes left anyone have some software to reset this
