Did the T60 standard warranty change?

#1 Post by insomniac59 » Mon Nov 20, 2006 3:39 pm

I've been playing with the T60 configurations since the last sale went into effect...I could've sworn the T60 config I had priced included a 3 year depot warranty last week. Now they are all 1 year since the website revamp over the weekend.

Am I just remembering wrong?

Depends what model you get, mine came with a 3 year international warranty.

I think its only the US that lenovo offers 1 year warranty?

AFAIK all of the custom builds came standard with the 1yr, some of the pre-configurations come standard with 3year.

Thats true - I have a custom model and I got only a 1 year warranty. Was this the same with IBM? I wish Lenovo offered a 3 year warranty for all models.
Now: T60 2613-EKU | T23 2647-9NU | 600X 2645-9FU | HP 100LX

They do. For any model with a 1 year, you can upgrade to a 3 year depot or 3 year onsite nbd.

With custom I could not find the 3 year depot option. You could only upgrade to onsite options or with thinkpad protection bundled in.

Not a good sign on the warranty front. 3 year depot upgrade used to be the most reasonable upgrade.
