Location of X20 BIOS ROM chip on motherboard

#1 Post by Terrahawk » Mon Nov 20, 2006 8:31 pm

Hi there,

I just bought a non-working X20. Well, it does work but its BIOS got corrupted during a flash operation and now it no longer boots up. I am pretty confident I can re-program it.

Does anyone know where on the motherboard the BIOS ROM chip is, and what type of chip it is? I don't have the X20 yet so I can't see for myself.

Failing that, the locations of a couple of high resolution pictures of both sides of the X20 motherboard would be nice :)

Thanks,
Geoff.

Does anyone have an X20 motherboard lying around then they could take close-up pictures of? I just want the part number of the BIOS ROM so I can download datasheets and sort out a programmer for it.
